Life and Such.

Well it’s been since April 15th since my last post, which is totally unacceptable. In general, I basically just want to write more. Last night I got my journal out after taking off nearly a month and it feels sooooo good to write!
I grew up having a journal all the time, and if you’ve never had one – I highly recommend just getting something that works and starting writing in it.
Someone wrote to me on twitter (after I asked people for blog post ideas) – “Sounds like a case of Blogger’s Block.” Well, yeah pretty much.
But then last night I realized I just hadn’t been writing, so nothing was flowing. Life was flowing and is flowing, but not the words. Time to change that!
For whatever reason, I always feel the need to write my health and supplement updates, but I really don’t need to do that, do I? This is my blog, I can write whatever I want!! Woooooeeeee How good does that feel?
We just did a little tour with David around the east coast. Baltimore, NYC, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Western Mass. I had more difficulty eating on the road this time around, because I’ve become used to eating at home. I basically ate crackers with raw grass-fed butter and sauerkraut for the entire trip. A bit of yogurt here and there as well.
When we got back, the very first thing I craved so much was chicken. I know, shocking to some of you, but I’m ok with that. It feels like the most nourishing food on the planet these days. I don’t eat it raw, because frankly I am just not interested in that. People have been using fire for food for thousands of years, some say over 500,000 years, some say well over 1 million years. I’d say that gives me the right to use fire for my food. Some research even suggests that fire made us human.
I’m not suggesting to overdo using fire for your food, but a nice balance is great. I eat some things raw at every meal – either raw dairy, veggies, or fermented veggies (like sauerkraut, pickled foods, etc). For me personally, chicken is nice when roasted and then make a bone broth or soup out of the bones, and meat is nice when lightly cooked. If you eat any flesh or meat, it’s a good idea to also eat the bones. Well, not eat them, but make bone broths. People have stopped making bone broths in the last 50 years or so, and to be honest it’s quite an important part of our diet. I had the pleasure of tasting marrow recently and it’s quite strong.
This week, Franky made a broth of beef and lamb bones and we’ve had it going all week. We add it to our meals and anything we want to steam we use the bone broth.
Here’s an amazing medicinal chicken stock from Franky G:
Give it a go! I encourage you to take step outside your comfort zone and try something new. I have many friends asking how to prepare meat and fish because they’ve never done it in their life. I was right there as well, and am still learning a lot. Luckily, I married an incredibly talented chef who has all the training to pretty much make anything. You can visit his site HERE.
You can also view more of his video recipes HERE.
And there are lots of free written recipes HERE !
Well, that’s enough from me today. Just wanted to put a quickie up on here. Not really any consistent subject going on today, just rambling on. But maybe this is just what you need!
Enjoy, more to come soon.

I’m sorry that I didn’t know you were traveling through our area! It would have been fun to set up an event … or meet up. Perhaps another time.
I’m glad to hear you write about cooking your chicken. Meat may be added in our household in the months to come, yet neither one of us feel good about eating it raw. I like how you write about not overdoing it, but finding the right balance. Balance and intuition is everything to me right now.
Thanks for the post! I enjoy your site and look forward to more.
In joy, Jensey
